According to reliable industry insider Dusk Golem, Capcom are planning to release a next-gen upgrade for Resident Evil 7. The patch should bring various visual enhancements and performance lift.
Despite several new Resident Evil Village trailers and Resident Evil multiplayer reveal during the last week's showcase, the fans of the iconic horror franchise were not quite satisfied with the program, since many expected to hear more about the rumoured Resident Evil 4 Remake, as well as, some info on a potential Resident Evil next-gen upgrades for previous games.
And while the wait for the Resident Evil 4 Remake will be a long one, since the game has reportedly been rebooted and it's targeting 2023, the next-gen patches could be coming very soon.
To be more precise, Resident Evil 7 will be getting a makeover, according to reliable industry insider Dusk Golem, who is usually spot on when it comes to horror games.
Dusk Golem claims that the next-gen patch for Resident Evil 7 is happening 100 per cent but for some reason, Capcom decided to skip the announcement on the Resident Evil showcase, earlier this week.
Dusk Golem also explains that a VR mode for Village was in development at some point but sadly, he does not have additional information regarding this at this moment.
If a VR version of Resident Evil Village is still in development, we assume it could be released only after the release of standard version since Capcom did not announce it a couple of days ago. It could potentially be a PSVR exclusive but this is just speculation at the moment so take it with a grain of salt.
