Ratchet & Clank will take up only 33.6 GB of your PlayStation 5's storage space, which would be quite chunky a few years back but it's really close to the lightweight category in today's standards.
Furthermore, you don't have to wait for the download in the release day since preloads for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are already live. The game itself will launch on June 11, 2021.
All that said, you will need to unpack the game when the release day comes so depending on your download speed, it might be faster to just download the game then, instead of preloading and unpacking it.
