PUBG's update that brought climbing, vaulting and new ballistics also packed some unannounced features. Players dug around the game files and found the long awaited desert map and some new vehicles.
Developers often try to sneak some unannounced additions in with the regular patches. The operating word here is "try" as most games these days have a very engaged fan base made out of people from all walks of life. Some of those people turn out to be very good with the shovels you'd use to dig around in a computer file.
Such is the case with the latest PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds patch that added . While the community is trying to take advantage of the 24 hours the patch will be available on the game's test servers, others turned around to poke a bit deeper.

Players managed to datamine a lot of files after taking the patch, but two major features take the cake. Or the chicken dinner, if you will.
First up is the elusive . The new map was supposed to be featured in the 1.0 patch but failed to make an apparent appearance. Hehe. If you take a closer look at the datamined map, you'll notice that it is almost complete: the town names look like placeholders, but the roads are there.
Another Redditior was kind enough to share a new vehicle of death but now for the seas. That thread also contains images of a potential new minibus, a scandalous jeep and a new weapon.
Bluehole
PUBG's test servers will be open until 2:00 AM on 15 November. The datamined patch is available for testing. The new features let you scale tall objects and climb out of windows.
