PUBG Update 21.1 is introducing a lot of new content, improvements and changes that are set to go live on PC next week.
PUBG Update 21.1 is a pretty big one with all sorts of new additions and improvements including the return of the snowy map Vikend, just in time for the holidays. Vikend map has received slight rework and it's now expanded to become an 8X8 KM map with various new environments like glaciers and snowfields but also new features like Cable Car, Crowbar interaction and Comeback BR.
Additionally, Update 21.1 brings changes to Erangel map with new buildings, the ability to board vehicles to the ferry and more. Speaking about vehicles, Krafton reworked several of them including Minibus, Zima, Porter and more.
PUBG Update 21.1 for PC is set to go live on December 5, 4:30 PM PST / December 6, 1:30 AM CET. As for the consoles, it's coming ten days later on December 14, 8:00 PM PST / December 15, 5:00 AM CET. As always, expect a couple of hours of downtime as the devs roll out the update.
The devs state that some improvements have also been made to the character animations, namely the character's rather unnatural shoulder motions when sprinting with a weapon equipped.
Expectedly, there are a lot of bug fixes and optimisation improvements in the patch notes given that Update 21.1 is quite big. You can check out the full patch notes on PUBG's official website.
