A pretty busy month for Pokemon Go is set to become even busier as Niantic gear up for the return of the Eggstravaganza event next week. This special-themed event focused on baby Pokemon and egg hatching is scheduled to run from 16 April 2019 at 1 PM PDT through 23 April 2019 at 1 PM PDT (GMT -7).
During the event, Pokemon like Pichu, Smoochum, and Magby will be included in the two-kilometre egg pool. The event will also feature a Normal-type Pokemon Buneary, and if you're lucky, you may even encounter the Shiny version of this tiny creature.
After the Eggstravaganza event ends, Shiny Buneary and his evolution Lopunny will be added to the game permanently but will appear at much lower rates, as expected.
Furthermore, the announcement confirms that every Egg hatched during the event will also include a bonus Candy to help you power up your newly hatched Pokemon. To speed up the hatching process even further, Incubators will hatch eggs twice as fast and Lucky Eggs will last twice as long during the event.
Niantic also say that the egg pool is going to change and you may find different Pokemon hatching from Eggs than ever before but details on what exactly can trainers expect are still unknown.
And last but not least, a special limited-time egg-focused Field research will be available during this event, but again, it is unknown what type of tasks and rewards are included.

In other Pokemon Go news, the event is returning today and you can take part in it from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in your local time zone.
Also, Pokemon Go April Community Day is inching closer, and you can check the featured Pokemon and bonuses , and make sure to take part in event that brings some Ground-type Pokemon and other rewards.
