Niantic's next Community Day event will go down on 24 February 2018. The event will focus on Dratini. Valentine's Day bonuses will stop being distributed on 15 February 2018.

Pokemon GO's Community Day events are Niantic's latest attempt to bring back players the game has lost over the past months. Each event sees a new Pokemon featured for a limited time, with an exclusive move and a resource bonus to boot. The resources range from double XP to Stardust and Lure Modules.

The next Community day event will revolve around Dratini, and kick off on Saturday, 24 February 2018. Start and end times for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India are: 10:00 am to 01:00 pm GMT.

Dratini's unique move is still to be announced. In the past, the Pokemon has had Extremespeed as his unique move in the main Pokemon games. It's only been possible to acquire in Pokemon Crystal and the later remakes Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. The resource bonus this time around will be triple amounts of Stardust and three hour Lures.

Dratini is rarely encountered by players who don't live near lakes and oceans, so this Community Day event will be a great opportunity for them to farm the three-stage evolution Pokemon in abundance.

It's as of yet unknown if there will be an increased chance for you to nab a shiny Dratini. Regardless, you might want to stack up on Star Pieces from the in-game store when you can, as they'll provide a huge multiplier when combined with the 3x Stardust earned during the event. You can currently get bundled with some other items in Special, Great and Ultra Boxes.

Pokemon GO's first Community Day had its focus on Pikachu. During the event, the Gen 1 electric-type Pokemon had an increased spawn rate, came with the move Surf and had a higher chance of being a shiny.

In other Pokemon GO news, Niantic will celebrate Valentine's Day by giving away triple Strardust for each Chansey and Luvdisc you catch until 09:00 PM GMT on 15 February 2018.
