Pokemon GO has a new shiny monster. This time it's Swablu and it costs 400 candies to evolve it into Altaria. The new shiny Pokemon arrived as part of the latest Rayquaza update. The update also brought some Special, Great and Ultra boxes.
You can now capture a shiny Swablu in Pokemon GO. The latest Rayquaza update brought two new Legendaries that will be available for a limited time, some Special Boxes and a shiny version of the cotton-winged monster. Both Swablu and his evolved form - Altaria - are available as shinies.
Unfortunately, Altaria is not available in the wild so you'll gave to visit grind-city in order to evolve your shiny Swablu. The exercise will cost you 400 Swablu candies. Swablu and Altaria are the latest in an increasingly long list of Shiny Pokemon that started with Magikarp and Gyarados.
Other shinies include Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Sableye, Shuppet, Banette, Duskull, Dusklops, Mawile, Absol, Snorunt, Glalie and Froslass.
The Rayquaza update added some Special boxes to the in-game store. One Special Box costs 480 PokeCoins and contains 3 Incense, 2 Egg Incubators and 6 Star Pieces. The Great Box will set you back 780 Coins and include 4 Egg Incubators, 3 Lucky Eggs, 6 Premium Raid Passes and 8 Star Pieces.
The most expensive of the three is the Ultra Box you can get in exchange for 1480 Coins. The box will provide 8 Egg Incubators, 6 Lucky Eggs, 12 Premium Raid Passes and 20 Star Pieces.
The Rayquaza update added a new Legendary Raid Battle. Rayquaza will be available to battle until 16 March 2018. The green Pokemon is relatively easy to defeat if you pick a monster with ice moves. Water-type Pokemon Kyogre will also be a Raid Boss in Pokemon GO but only until 14 February 2018.
