Pokemon GO's dev team is continuing to test the Pokemon Spotlight Hour and Mystery Bonus Hour mini-events and will now try combining them into one weekly event for the month of April.
For April, Pokemon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. local time, but this time, both a Pokemon and a special bonus will be featured in the event. For each Pokemon Spotlight Hour, you can expect a different Pokemon and a bonus.
Pokemon Spotlight Hour times and dates for April 2020
- Tuesday, 7 April 2020: Purrloin will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for catching Pokemon.
- Tuesday, 14 April 2020: Magnemite will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for catching Pokemon.
- Tuesday, 21 April 2020: Wobbuffet will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokemon.
- Tuesday, 28 April 2020: Pidgey will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for evolving Pokemon.
Pokemon GO recently got an update that changed some of the Trainer Battle attacks and added some special initiatives for a bunch of Pokemon. The modifications were made in celebration of Pokemon GO's Grass-type month.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Niantic recently announced that Pokemon GO raids will, for the time being, be playable from home.
