Overwatch's Season Six is ending on 29 October. Season Seven will follow in three days, on 01 November 2017. Aside from sprays and icons, you’ll also receive Competitive Points based on the skill rating achieved during the season.

Overwatch's competitive is coming to its end on Sunday 29 October, at 1 pm BST. Season Seven will follow in three days, on Wednesday, 01 November at 1 am BST.

Competitive Points will be awarded based on the skill rating you achieve during the season. If you’re working on that, you know, tick-tock. The extra player icon and animated spray for those placements will have to be earned by the cutoff date and time. They will be unlocked automatically when you log into your account the first time after the season ends.

If you are placed within the Top 500 players on your platform (and in your region) at the end of the season, you’ll receive an extra player icon and animated spray on top of the other seasonal rewards.

A post by Josh Engen explains things further: Aside from sprays and icons, you’ll also receive a number of Competitive Points based on the maximum skill rating you achieved during the season.

Here’s the Skill Rating (SR) to Competitive Point (CP) breakdown for Season Six:

SR 1-1499 (Bronze): 65 CP

SR 1500-1999 (Silver): 125 CP

SR 2000-2499 (Gold): 250 CP

SR 2500-2999 (Platinum): 500 CP

SR 3000-3499 (Diamond): 750 CP

Season Six started in August and was a month shorter than usual. This change is new and if it doesn't work out the Overwatch team will revert back to the usual three month seasons.

With the shorter season in mind, the team has made some changes to the points. There was more points awarded per win and skill rating decay was changed. The team went about this by reducing the number of games played per week. Up until now, you were required to play seven games per week to keep your rank, and now you're going to need five.

Good luck in Season Seven, however long it ends up being.
