People Can Fly's Outriders team just tweeted an announcement saying that the fans will be able to experience the first few hours of the upcoming game as early as February. The game has been delayed into April.
Happy new year everyone!
People Can Fly recently shared a bunch of great news regarding their upcoming shooter RPG - Outriders. The fans can now look forward to a free demo, but the game's release date has been moved to a later date - April 1 to be exact.
The post on the game's official Twitter account reads: "We believe it's important that players get to experience a new IP like Outriders before release, so that you can decide for yourselves whether the game is something you wish to pre-order, purchase or play."
The free demo will be available on February 25, 2021, announced the tweet. The Outriders demo will allow the interested players to frolic around and experience the first few hours of the game with all four classes - in both single-player as well as co-op.
When asked if this is going to be a timed demo, the developers answered with a resounding no, and we now bring you their answer in full, right here: "It's not timed. You can run around however you want, as long as you want."
All progress made while playing the Outriders demo version will be carried over to the purchased copy of the game when it releases. The news about the launch date itself is the less than happy part of the announcement.
Outrides has been officially delayed and the new release date is April 1, 2021. No joke. The Outriders team has pledged this newly acquired time to polishing and fine-tuning the finished product.
