Nioh 3 players will finally get their first taste of the game early next year, as Team Ninja has confirmed that the official demo will launch on 29 January 2026.
Intended to showcase the sequel's brutal samurai combat and new systems, the demo will allow returning veterans and new players alike to hone their skills ahead of the full release.
In addition to the demo announcement, Koei Tecmo has also confirmed a series of early purchase bonuses, including armour modeled after the first two games' iconic heroes. With save-data transfer confirmed and several editions available to pre-order, players have a lot to look forward to leading up to launch.
Solo and Online Co-op
Nioh 3's demo will feature both single-player and online multiplayer co-op for up to three players, letting players tinker with their build, weapon types, and specific enemy encounters before the game's launch. Team Ninja confirmed that progression carries over from the demo to the full game.
More details regarding what to expect from the demo will be announced closer to its release, but it's early impressions show a meaty slice of gameplay that will introduce the sequel's darker tone and more depth to its combat.
Classic Armour sets return as early bonuses
Players who redeem the early purchase bonus “Hellfrost Armour Set” will unlock two nostalgic armour sets.
- Youngblood Armour (Samurai) worn by William from the original Nioh.
- Lone Wolf’s Armour (Ninja) from Hiddy in Nioh 2.
Available for a limited time after launch, this nod to the past adds exclusivity to these beloved items.
Pre-orders live with multiple editions available
Nioh 3 is available to pre-order physically and digitally including the Digital Deluxe Edition, standalone Season Pass, and SteelBook Edition with two bonus DLC items.
PC players can also save 90% on Nioh: Complete Edition on Steam, to enjoy an easy entry point into the series’ origin.
Nioh 3 launches on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on 6 February 2026.
