According to a Linkedin profile of The Initiative's former Technical Designer, Xbox Game Studios new title runs on UE 4, features various weapons, gadgets and camera surveillance system, which sounds a lot like a rumoured Perfect Dark game.
Earlier this month, reliable insider Shinobi602 confirmed that it won't take long before Microsoft finally start talking about their new games, which are "gorgeous fantasy worlds, reboots, big sci-fi [games]".
As expected, after this tease, Xbox players started to hope that a Perfect Dark reboot could be one of these games that Xbox Game Studios are working on. Well, according to the Linkedin profile of former Technical Designer over at Xbox Game Studio The Initiative, Perfect Dark Reboot could indeed be in the works.
As you can see here , Christopher Ng worked as a Technical Designer at The Initiative from July 2019 to February 2020 and during that time, he designed and scripted various weapons, gadgets and a camera surveillance system for an unannounced project.
Now, only one game comes to our mind with similar features and that indeed is Perfect Dark. Those who played the classic will remember deploying gadgets and using various weapons in order to prevent an alien invasion of Earth.
On his Linkedin profile, it is also written that Christopher was responsible for scripting and creating various world interactables and gameplay objects such as doors, destructibles, hazards, triggers and much more.
More importantly, the game runs on Unreal Engine 4, which is the engine that most of the Xbox Game Studios work with in order to share tech and various systems.
As always, until Microsoft officially announce the game, take this with a grain of salt since it is just speculation at the moment.
