In the last few years, monstrous champion have been all but forgotten in League of Legends, so we can't be blamed for jumping at every new information that comes out regarding the new Void jungler, whose release date has apparently been leaked.

Screaming into existence with the birth of the universe, the Void is a manifestation of the unknowable nothingness that lies beyond. It is a force of insatiable hunger, waiting through the eons until its masters, the mysterious Watchers, mark the final time of undoing.

If there has ever been anything in any lore that screams, entities alien to our understanding of existence itself, that would be the Void. Riot have recently confirmed that the new jungle champion coming to League of Legends will be a voidling, and will be the next in line to be released after Renata Glasc.

A trusted leak source, Big Bad Bear, has predicted the release of the new jungler to be with patch 12.8. That is on April 12, on PBE, and April 27 on the live servers.

The design of the champion is yet unknown, but it may take some basis from the rejected champion Omen, which happened a few years ago. One thing is for sure, Riot have confirmed that the new void champion will have the ability to transform into their true form.

This can mean all manner of things, from evolution by killing and consuming enemies, which would fit with the lore revealed in the latest Malzahar story, or a transformation similar to Elise, with each version having its own basic abilities. At the end of the day, we don't care much in particular, as long as the champion's true form is not that of an e-girl that caters to the sale of skins.
