Monster Hunter: World's' first anniversary event is coming soon and it will include the special Appreciation Fest. During the special fest, players will hunt a giant lizard monster called the Greatest Jargas for some high-level rewards.

Capcom will celebrate the first anniversary of Monster Hunter World with a special in-game event dubbed the Appreciation Fest. The celebrations will start on 26 January and will run until 06 February 2019. During the event, players will have the opportunity to take part in the Greatest Jargas hunting quest.

The giant lizard will be just one of the great monsters that players will get to hunt in the upcoming weeks. The Greatest Jargas will be available during the first part of Appreciation Fest and will drop some high-level items. Other monsters are yet to be revealed but Capcom previously confirmed several "monsters that have had a whole year to build up a grudge and are ready to unleash their frustration" will be coming during the special event.

Along with that, the Gathering Hub will receive an anniversary makeover with balloons, confetti and other special decorations. Capcom also confirmed that most of the previous event quests will return during the Appreciation Fest.

Players will also get daily login bonuses, limited bounties and other "special surprises". On top of that, a special appreciation platter will be available in the Gathering Hub, and items or services at all facilities will be available at reduced costs.

Soon after the Appreciation Fest, Capcom will roll out a new free update for Monster Hunter World. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt's Geralt will be making a guest appearance in "Monster Hunter World x The Witcher 3" crossover event .
