Blitzcrank was already suffering for some time, and Riot has given him some significant buffs on Patch 12.19 to help him out. The Blitzcrank improvements were intended to transform him to become a Toplaner/Jungler, however, the buffs made Support Blitzrank far too powerful.
Bel’Veth is one of the newest champions in League of Legends and has been somewhat problematic since her release. Being a champion that scales infinitely, she is pretty hard to balance. So it’s no surprise she is getting nerfed next patch.
Since her mini-rework in patch 12.17, Miss Fortune has been one of the strongest ADCs. Unfortunately, after several nerfs, she has remained just too powerful. So Riot intends to nerf her again in Patch 12.21. Hopefully, this will bring Miss Fortune back into balance.
Blitzcrank now leads the support meta with over a 54% win rate, a 33% ban rate, and a respectable 10% play rate. Such a high win/ban ratio for a champion with one of the most game-changing abilities in the game is, to put it mildly, insane.
Bel’Veth is currently one of the top Junglers in Solo-Queue, with a 52% win rate and a massive 32% ban rate. She also has an excellent professional play presence. So it’s no surprise she is getting nerfed next patch.
Riot Phroxzon, the League Balance Team lead designer, recently announced the upcoming changes on his Twitter.
So, get ready for the preseason of 2023, because nothing will be the same at the Summoners Rift! Expect new buffs, nerfs, champions, and in-game cosmetics.
