Even though Microsoft's Play Anywhere program may not have been as straightforward as the company would've liked, it still packs some 57 titles that can be played on Xbox One or PC without having to shell out for two separate games.

So, an Xbox Play Anywhere branded Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite cropped up in Microsoft's online store, with the vanilla version priced at £28.78 when converted from $39.99. There's also a Deluxe Edition, which comes with character pass DLC, which goes for £43.19 when converted from $59.99.

Wit the Play Anywhere platform allowing for sharing progress and even saves between your Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One, we're sure fans of Marvel's and Capcom's crossovers will appreciate the gesture, seeing as how owning one basically means they own both.

Microsoft's seal of approval may not mean much, but we doubt we'll see any glaring issues with the game. In fact, most titles on the list of Play Anywhere supported games work just fine, albeit some without supporting cross-platform play. Note however that in many cases, the lack of support is due to feature not being applicable in the first place, e.g. in Cuphead.

You may recall the program being announced by Microsoft at E3 2016 and even though the idea behind it is pretty great, the execution seems to be trudging along, rather than warp-driving ahead. However, the platform already has 57 titles and since it's pretty much given that cross platform is an inevitability at this stage, its only a matter of time.

Just in case you've been living under a blue rock of death, by joining Play Anywhere, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite joins the list of more recent titles the likes of Cuphead, Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport 7, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, etc.
