Game Pass service is one of the selling points for Microsoft's next-gen consoles and it may just become better in December 2020 with the addition of Control to the roster.

Xbox Game Pass keeps expanding the roster of the games available and the biggest additions tend to be teased in one way or another. For example, Doom Eternal was teased in a funny way, where Microsoft pretended it was mentioned in a "leaked" mail from Melissa McGamepass who is the "Executive Senior VP Lieutenant of General Video Games Communications".

Fast forward to the end of November 2020 and Melissa is at it again. Unlike the first time around, the teaser is not hidden the capital letters or below the signature but the hint comes from the text itself.

The teaser mentions a gif with a sinister red light, which the fans and internet sleuths speculate to be a reference to Control, the controversial game from Remedy, published by 505 Games. This type of light was featured throughout the game, which is why the hint was connected to Jesse Faden's adventures.

Furthermore, Phil Spencer let slip that Control was coming to Game Pass almost a year ago during a live stream on Mixer. Remedy later came to state this wasn't the case but Spencer never retracted his words.

Anyway, if this turns out to be the case, it will make for an interesting December 2020 for the title.

It has been embroiled in controversy due to devs and publishers not letting Control owners upgrade to the next-gen version for free, forcing them to buy the Ultimate Edition if they wanted the upgrade. Maybe they will be able to get it through Xbox Game Pass at the cost of a subscription.
