Mafia: Definitive Edition's announcement has been great news for the long-time fans of the franchise and the developer, Hangar 13, now revealed a few more.

As reported by DSO Gaming, Hangar 13's president and CCO Haden Blackman announced a few more things you can look forward to, which weren't in the original game.

"The original Mafia made such a lasting impact on how video games can tell serious stories. And we know how much the series fans still revere it. Nearly 20 years after, we now have an opportunity to introduce this beloved game to a new generation of players. We can also give longtime fans a chance to relive Tommy’s story with a stellar modern presentation and new story elements and gameplay features", he said.

So, players will not only have a larger Lost Heaven to wander accross, they'll also get a new type of vehicle - motorcycles.

There are new collectables to gather and it goes without saying that the graphics will be up to date, but it's the story updates that should ensure  Mafia: Definitive Edition still feels fresh after all this time.

There's no need to be concerned over the game's legacy as it's still handled by the same group of people that made the original game. Illusion Softworks were bought by Take-Two and eventually merged into Hangar 13, so Mafia: Definitive Edition is in the best hands possible.

Hangar 13 and 2K Games will be showing off some of Mafia: Definitive Edition on the upcoming PC Gaming Show, which is slated for June 6, 2020, but we should be getting plenty more footage before it launches in August this year.
