Black Desert Online console players have a lot of new content on their hands, including a brand new class. Maehwa comes from the Eastern Continent and belongs in the hybrid melee and ranged combat archetype.

Maehwa grew up in the lower classes of the Eastern Continent as she spent her early years on the street. After she got adopted by a military officer, the girl started rising through the ranks, eventually becoming a general.

Honing her skills to become a lethal fighter, she eventually found the power to wield the Crescent Petal in all of its fiery glory. However, awakening lets her use the Kerispear which is a long polearm weapon that will let her draw a blue flame.

Console players will get this lethal fighter with both her original and Awakening skills. When using Divider, Maehwa will charge forward, attacking enemies in her path.

One trickster ability will be Chaos: Red Moon which gives Maehwa the power of the eponymous Red Moon as she evades enemy sight and attacks them from behind.

Petal Bloom channels an icy aura around Maehwa's Kerispear as she drives her energy and performs a devastating thrust.

Four Pillars will be the crowd control ability that slows down enemies with an icy attack.

You can see all the abilities in action in the trailer below or hop into the game and give the new character a whirl as Maehwa is live on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

To top it off, Pearl Abyss kicked off a Maehwa level up event the let the players get up to speed. It started with the character's launch but fret, you still have plenty of time to take advantage of it since the event ends on 1 April 2020.
