One of the ways Amazon intend to inject honing materials into the game is via new events. The biggest of those will be the Casual version of some Guardian Raids.
In the Casual Guardian Raids event, players will be able to enjoy Guardian Raids in a more casual way, as the name suggests. Relax, play, and get honing rewards.
Similarly to the Grand Prix, which will also be getting more honing materials as rewards added to it, you can enter once a day, per roster, meaning that you can't use alternate characters to farm and abuse the event, and earn event-specific coins to spend on rewards at a new vendor. This vendor can be found in major cities, alongside the entrance to this new activity.
In this event, something the developers call the Scale of Balance will be applied to change the character's stats to match the Guardian's level, and the difficulty is adjusted according to the number of participants in the raid.
Players will be able to challenge the following Guardian Raids:
- Helgaia,
- Frost Helgaia,
- Lumerus,
- Ur’Nil,
- Vertus,
- Chromanium,
- Nacrasena,
- Dark Legoros,
- Icy Legoros,
- Calventus,
- Levanos.
This event will last for roughly a month, and only players with a gear score of 250 or above will be able to participate. Developers also promise to reiterate the details of this event in next week's update notes, but are excited to spoil the surprise as players are looking to earn more honing materials.
