League of Legends is kicking off one of its biggest tournaments of the year soon and all the necessary information is now available.
Riot Games announced all the details you might need in order to watch League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2022 so here is a quick rundown of everything.
MSI 2022 starting date
MSI 2022 group stage will be going on from May 10 to 15, 2022.
Rumble stage, as Riot Games called it in the official post , will happen from May 20 to 24.
The format
Group stage will have a total of three groups, with two groups consisting of four teams and one consisting of three where everyone will play a double round-robin, consisting of Bo1 matches. The top two teams advance into the rumble stage even in that last group, meaning only the last team will be booted out of the groups.
This rumble stage is a single large group where the teams that passed the group stage will face off in another double round-robin.
A total of four teams that place top four in rumble will advance to the knockout stage.
The Draw

- T1 (LCK), SB (VCS), AZE (LLA), DNG (LJL)
- Group B
- RNG (LPL), PSG (PCS), IW (TCL), RED (CBLOL)
- Group C
- G2 (LEC), EG (LCS), ORDER (LCO)
GAM won the VCS slot but will have to miss the tournament in order to participate in SEA Games instead. Saigon Buffalo will take their place at MSI.
MSI 2022 venue
Riot Games announced that the MSI will be played at two venues. Group stage will take place in the Busan Esports Arena while the Rumble and Knockout stages will be held in the Bexco Exhibition Hall 1.
