Group D of League of Legends Worlds 2021 provided the fans with the biggest spectacle of the tounamanet so far and sent it into proverbial overtme.

European teams on League of Legends Worlds 2021 ran into a heap of trouble and none have qualified so far; except for, maybe, the MAD Lions and that one is a real banger, without the mash. To give themselves a shot at the quarter-finals they beat LNG and tied up the entire group as everyone went 3-3.

It was immediately obvious that this group was much better balanced than the others as even the first round in Group D saw all teams go 1-1. Now, at the end of the group stage, no one could get away with a score, and the teams made history by finishing in a four-way tie for the first time in the ten years the League has been around.

In order to find out who progresses, the teams will play a mini-knockout stage where Team Liquid will face off with Gen.G and MAD Lions will face LNG. The winners of both duels will go to the quarter-finals but they will fight each other first to see who will become the first seed.

Interestingly enough, none of the teams went two to nothing against another team from the group. They all beat each other and lost to one another once. However, MAD lions seem to be in great shape as they won the last two games while Gen.G are on a two-loss streak.
