Riot Games announced a hotfix that is due to be deployed soon and fix some problematic items in League of Legends' current pre-season, including the biggest offenders - Eclipse and Liandry's.

League of Legends pre-seasons are often chaotic due to the massive balance changes that get crammed in for testing as Riot Games attempt to change the meta for the upcoming year of esports activities.

This year is no different and the massive item rework gave the team some major troubles in the first days of testing as several items proved to be way out of balance. Liandry's Anguish and Eclipse are easily the two most common offenders and both are getting nerfed in the 10.23 hotfix.

Eclipse will now do six per cent instead of eight per cent maximum health damage on proc and movement speed buff has been reduced from 30 to 15 per cent.

Liandry's magic penetration is getting tuned and it will now ramp up to only 15 per cent as opposed to 25. This should make the mages have some trouble with killing tanks.

That's not all however as some other items were hit with the nerf bat as well. Lichbane will have 50 instead of 60 per cent AP ratio and Guinsoo's Rageblade will cost 200 gold more while providing roughly 10 per cent less damage per 20 per cent crit chance.

Moonstone Renewer bug has been fixed so it affects allies in combat while Hailblade will have double the jungle damage ratio.

As for champion balance, Viktor's E scaling is going down from 0.7 to 0.5 and Aftershock base damage from 170 down to 140 at max rank.

Kassadin will have 15 health more per level and his ultimate will cost 10 mana less to cast initially.
