Riot Games released another champion roadmap with teasers for the upcoming roster additions, with one of them being a support that seems to rely on highly unconventional mechanics.
League of Legends was meant to get another marksman and one more support by the end of 2021 but after they didn't really fit with the event during which they were supposed to release, Riot had to reconsider their options. As such, they decided to keep the identity they crafted for the two upcoming champions but they will release a bit later - in early 2022. The ADC will arrive first and the support will follow a few patches later.
With that out of the way, here are the teasers for the upcoming champions. The marksman will have some kind of lightning-firing machinegun and is meant to bring the feeling of a shooter game apparently. It's unclear how Riot might achieve that since they would have to revamp the controls specifically for this champion in order to get it right. It appears the focus will be on experimenting with a new type of auto-attack as well.
Meanwhile, the support seems to be highly motivated by money. The teaser Riot provided couldn't stop talking about it so we are probably going to see another champion that can bring more revenue to the team, much like Pyke. They also teased what appears to be a unique mechanic that allows this champion to turn enemies against each other and there is a lot of talk about manipulation that might send enemies to certain death.
A hint on how to counter the mechanic didn't appear too helpful either, as doing this champion's bidding might be the only way to save oneself.
