Riot Games released the patch that holds Samira assets along with the PsyOps skins, missions and related content but she will be lagging a bit behind the rest.

Patch 10.19 rolled out on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, and while many were excited to try out the new combo-based ADC, she was nowhere to be found. This is because Samira will be released on September 21, 2020.

We're not making this up, it's right there in the 10.19 patch notes , but let's be honest - many of you don't read these. After all, if you did, you wouldn't be searching for her release date after the update went up.

Anyway, interesting as the patch notes may be, Samira is the focus of everyone who is looking to refresh their bot lane champion pool. Then again, she might just fit into other roles as well. It wouldn't be the first time marksman champions excelled in niche roles for top or mid lane. The ability to play Samira off-role may hinge on knowing the champion's mechanics so here are a few that may not be obvious at first glance.

The part of Samira's passive that makes her dash towards and knock a crowd controlled enemy up doesn't rely only on CC from allies. Dragon, Baron and Shelly knock-ups can all trigger the dash and your subsequent knock-up. This trick doesn't work on red plants though.

Taunting an enemy with Samira will give them one gold and deal one true damage. More importantly, it will increase your style meter by one, which can be useful when ambushing an enemy from a bush.

Speaking of style points, if you damage an enemy with W and then dash through them with E, the W attack will repeat. If this one hits as well, you will have gained three style points extremely quickly.

Samira's melee version of Q is not a cone attack. It hits even enemies behind her, although range on them is a bit wonky. Still, this is useful when dashing into an enemy team as you will dish out AoE like there is no tomorrow.

The dash works on allied or enemy champions, minions and neutral monsters. All of them can be used for jumping over walls. Have fun on 21st!
