Riot Games will be releasing a major update for League of Legends champion Rell in Patch 14.23, which will go live on November 20, 2024. While recent patches have welcomed numerous big updates, the Rell mini-rework is one of the major changes that will make her considerably better in Solo Queue without overpowering her in professional play.
While Rell was a popular pick in Worlds 2024, she managed to struggle in non-competitive matches due to how her overall performance was. As such, Riot will be changing her stats and abilities around to make her a bit more accessible for the average player.
The changes predominantly patch up her passive Break the Mold and her shattering strike Q, Ferromancy: Crash Down W1, Ferromancy: Mount Up W2, and Full Tilt E.
Rell changes in Patch 14.23
- Base Stats: Minor reductions in base mana, armor, and magic resistance with an increase in mana regeneration and attack speed.
- Passive (Break the Mold): Gains new on-hit damage that scales with her armor and magic resistance.
- Shattering Strike (Q): Slightly reduced stun duration.
- Ferromancy (W1 and W2): Adjustments in cooldowns, shield strength, and movement speed bonuses for both abilities, enhancing her versatility.
- Full Tilt (E): Changes in cooldown and rally speed, along with tweaks to health-based damage, which now applies to structures.
Overall, these changes are looking to increase Rell's casual playability while balancing her professional play influence. On the back of these changes, players can look forward to playing a more dynamic, reliable Rell in ranked and casual games.
