Akali buffs are always a scary thing

League of Legends patch 11.6 will bring some very interesting changes to popular champions like Akali, Pyke, LeBlanc and Sylas. Xin Zhao will finally get a small rework.

League of Legends lead gameplay designer Mark Yetter, better known as Riot Scruffy has revealed  the balance targets for the upcoming patch 11.6. According to the new tweet, these champions will see some buffs in the next patch:

  • Akali
  • Xin Zhao
  • LeBlanc
  • Sylas
  • Pyke
  • Volibear

Xin Zhao will surely be the biggest change of this patch since he's getting a small rework to his whole kit. The reworked version should be much stronger than his current state which could bring him back to the meta.

The list of champions that will receive nerfs this patch is as follows:

  • Hecarim
  • Karthus
  • Urgot
  • Lillia
  • Renekton
  • Gnar

Gnar has been dominating both solo queue and professional League of Legends and we all knew that a nerf was coming his way. The same can be said for Urgot considering that he's currently holding one of the highest win rates for the top lane position - 52 per cent for Platinum and above.

The following items will get buffed:

  • Shureliya's Battlesong
  • Luden's Tempest
  • Sunfire Aegis
  • Rabbadon's Deathcap

Both mages and AP assassins could become much stronger due to the buffs to Luden's and Deathcap. Riot will most likely go soft on these changes in order to prevent a huge meta shake-up. Many tank players will surely welcome the Sunfire buffs and the question is, can this item return to its former glory?

The following items are getting nerfed:

  • Void Staff
  • Vedant Barrier
  • Seeker's Armguard
  • Sterak's Gage
  • Blade of the Ruined King
