The official League of Legends game development Twitter account has revealed the balance targets for the upcoming patch 11.14. Champions that are getting buffed include:
- Darius
- Garen
- Graves
- Illaoi
- Ivern
- Rek'sai
- Seraphine
- Taric
Once this list got revealed, many players jumped to ask why Darius was getting buffed? But, even though he sometimes leaves the impression that it's almost impossible to lane against this champion, he currently holds a 47 per cent win rate overall ranks. He's one of the champions that got hurt with the recent rework of the item Stridebreaker. Removing the dash from the item's active effect has exposed this champion's core weakness, his low mobility.
Garen currently holds an above 50 per cent win rate which means that the buff probably won't be that significant. If we exclude some splash artwork adjustments, Rek'Sai hasn't been touched for almost 14 patches which means that he hasn't seen any changes since the game's preseason.
The following champions will receive a nerf:
- Akali
- Malzahar
- Nocturne
- Karma
- Xin Zhao
- Ziggs
- Shaco
Since her rework, Akali has always been a nightmare for the game designers to balance around. She's been one of the strongest mid laners for a couple of patches now, especially in professional League of Legends so the nerf shouldn't surprise anyone.
Xin Zhao has been absent from the meta for a very long time. The most recent rework can be called success since he's seen a significant increase in popularity for the jungle position.
