According to League's lead gameplay designer, patch 11.12 wil bring to changes to a couple champions. While some overpowered champions like Varus and Kai'Sa are getting nerfed, it's good to see champions like Rammus getting some love.
League of Legends lead gameplay designer Mark Yetter, better know as Riot Scruffy revealed the balance target list for the upcoming patch 11.12. Champions that are getting buffed include:
- Rammus
- Aphelios
- Hecarim
- Draven
- Illaoi
- Malphite
- Ziggs
Even though Hecarim has seen buffs to his AD ration on both this Rampage (Q) and Devastating Charge (E) in the current patch, he still holds a below 48 per cent win rate. Riot don't seem to be too satisfied with his position in the meta so he will get another set of buffs.
Aphelios has become less popular over the last couple of patches with his pick/ban rate dropping below 3 per cent. He's one of the most difficult champions to balance in the game and it's pretty certain that Riot will go easy on the buffs.
Rammus' win rate has dropped by 2 per cent from the last patch and the new mini-rework didn't impact his success in the jungle position by that much, probably due to the weak state of the tank items at the moment.

The list of champions that will get nerfed is as follows:
- Wukong
- Kai'Sa
- Varus
- Nasus
- Gnar
- Renekton
It's that time of the year where Varus manages to find his place in the bottom lane as a long-range lethality nuker. Since it offers almost no counter-play in most matchups, Riot will probably target his lethality build.
Gnar and Renekton have been the standard go-to safe picks for most top laners over the last couple of patches. It doesn't come as a surprise that Riot decided to nerf them considering that they have a very strong blind pick potential as well as a strong gank setup.
