The new Void jungler is the most hyped champion in the history of League of Legends, and with good reason. It should, hopefully, be a monstrous one. So, what do Riot have to say about it now?
We can't say that Riot haven't been forthcoming with the information regarding the newest champion coming to the Rift. It's just that said information isn't delivered straightforwardly, but veiled in various teasers.
Submission seems to be the name of the game with the new Void jungler, something which we already knew but did not know to which extent it was tied to the champion. As it turns out, it seems to be the champion's core characteristic.
According to Riot, those who do so willingly will be rewarded by becoming part of the ever-expanding Lavender Sea, crashing like waves against the enemies’ defensive structures. Letting the Empress feed on your essence, you may become part of the new evolution of Runeterra. And as an added bonus, if you succumb to her you will also bear witness to her true elegance, her true beauty, and the true face of the Void.
What this tells us is that taking into account that the champion is a skirmisher according to Riot, the jungler may go the route of Kindred and her marks. That is, by feeding on the essence of her enemies, the Empress will gain in power, and perhaps even have minions to use against enemies, similar to Mordekaiser's old ultimate.
It will interesting to see how, if such a thing comes to pass, Riot will try to pull this mechanic off.
