Not even the Void jungler has arrived, and Riot are already teasing a new champion bound to stalk the Rift. Just what kind of existence can we expect it to be, and why does the teaser make him incredibly cool?
While we were ruminating over the infinite possibilities of the new Void jungler, Riot have been hard at work at making another up-coming champion, whose teaser they just shared in their champion roadmap.
The teaser consists of a pseudo-lore story, taking place in a yet-unspecified region of Runeterra, but one which has Noxian warbands drinking in their taverns, which, admittedly, does not narrow it down so much.
The story comes from the owner of a tavern called Oyster Bill's Oyster Shack, who claims that a mysterious stranger, coming from a land far away, got into an altercation with a Noxian warband in his tavern, and trashed them completely, all the while the fight was shrouded in mist, with the stranger's boisterous laughter and splashes of water echoing from within.
What Riot are doubling down on, and using the word more than once in the short teaser, is color and colorful. With the stranger being described as colorful, and the land he comes from being called the land of a thousand colors.
We cannot, for the life of us, make a connection to any previously known lore with these pieces of information, aside from definitely negating the connection of the stranger's mist to the mists of the Shadow Isles. AS for where the new champion comes from, and just what form he will take, as a man laughing even in the middle of a fight, we cannot say, though we are looking forward to seeing more!
