Developer Ember Lab have officially announced that their upcoming action-adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been delayed to Q1 2021. The devs will use this extra time to polish and optimise the game and deliver the best possible experience on launch.

The gorgeous-looking action-adventure from Ember Lab, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, is the latest victim of this crazy year. This timed exclusive for PlayStation 5 will not release later this year as planned, instead, the devs had to make a hard decision and delay the game to the first quarter of 2021.

Ember Lab released a statement where they explained their decision. The challenges of working from home has caused slower development, which ultimately affected the release date.

"We have not made this decision lightly, but feel it is best for the game and well-being of the team," Ember Lab wrote in their message. "We will use this time to give the game the polish it deserves and deliver an experience that meets our vision and your expectations."

The devs also promised to share more news about the game in the upcoming months.

While this certainly is unfortunate news for those who planned to get the game later this year, we have to say that Ember Lab made the right decision by delaying the game. We have no doubts that the team will use the extra time to make an even better title.

Remember,  "a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad, as Shigeru Miyamoto once said.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game is yet to be confirmed for Xbox Series X but it should arrive a bit later, once the exclusivity deal with Sony expires.
