Insomniac Games, the developer of PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man and forgotten shooter franchise Resistance are on a hiring spree for a multiplayer project.

Insomniac Games have confirmed that they are working on an unannounced multiplayer project. The studio is currently staffing for this mysterious game, with five new open positions including Creative Director, Story Lead, and Systems Designer (Multiplayer).

The job opening for Systems Designer of multiplayer states that the candidate would "oversee aspects of multiplayer features, mechanics, system design and more". Sadly, there isn't much else in the post so we have to speculate what could this title be.

Perhaps, Sony are bringing back Resistance? Or it's a multiplayer experience for existing games like Spider-Man or Ratchet and Clank. Also, it's possible that the game could be a brand new multiplayer IP, which seems to be the most realistic scenario.

Still, this is just us looking at the possibilities and speculating, since there are no additional details about this project, so don't take anything as confirmed.

Insomniac Games have been Sony's most productive studio over the last couple of years with releases like Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. At the moment, the studio don't have upcoming announced projects but it's safe to say that Spider-Man 2 is almost certainly in development along with at least one other project.
