Injustice 2 adds Raiden for Mortal Kombat's 25th anniversary

Raiden will be joining the Injustice 2 roster in order to celebrate Mortal Kombat's 25th anniversary. Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack or Fighter Pack 2 owners can already play as the eternal God of Thunder.

Mortal Kombat will celebrate its 25th anniversary on 08 October. To mark the occasion, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have released the newest addition to the Injustice 2 character roster: the eternal God of Thunder, Raiden.

As of today, players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack or Fighter Pack 2 can play as Mortal Kombat’s protector of Earthrealm or as Black Lightning - a brand new Premiere Skin that accompanies the Raiden DLC, smiting foes with their powerful lightning abilities. The Raiden DLC will be available to all players and for purchase separately on 6th October.

That would be all folks. Now let's get to know the game a bit better. Injustice 2 was developed by NetherRealm Studios. The game features a big roster of DC Super Heroes as well as Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favourite DC characters. The game is , with DLC characters Red Hood, Sub-Zero, Starfire and Black Manta available now.

At this year's gamescom 2017, Warner Bros. and DC organised a featuring Steve Aoki and Don Diablo. Steve Aoki is a two-time Grammy Nominated DJ and Producer and Owner of Team Rogue. Don Diablo is a World Wide Top DJ and frequent collaborator with hit artists including Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, and Coldplay.

A £3.800 donation was made to the Aoki Foundation, founded by Steve Aoki with the primary goal of finding advances in brain science through funding research in regenerative medicine and brain preservation. The foundation also supports humanitarian causes dear and near to Steve Aoki such as disaster relief, developmental disabilities, and animal-rights.
