Ubisoft have released two trailers for their upcoming action RPG Immortals: Fenyx Rising, one focusing on the underlying story, the other focusing on gameplay.
Just in case you're tuning in late, we're talking about the game previously known as Gods and Monsters, but Ubisoft's decision to lengthen their development cycles led to some delaying and an added focus on the game's protagonist Fenyx, hence the name change.
The story trailer sets the stage right from the get-go, with Prometheus and Zeus bickering among themselves. The two are actually the narrators of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, as players go on and explore the mystical and mythical world.
Speaking of exploration, Immortals: Fenyx Rising contains seven regions, each belonging and styled after one of the gods. And this is where Fenyx comes in, in an attempt to save them from the titan Typhon. You can catch a glimpse of Typhon in the trailer above - he's the one looking all jolly over his banishment, wink wink.
As for Immortals: Fenyx Rising's gameplay trailer, you can check out some gameplay from the starting island, Valley of Eternal spring.
"Check out the Valley of Eternal Spring, domain of Aphrodite, where you’ll re-enact tangled myths, ride tamed stags, and smash monsters while trying to free the goddess of love from a leafy prison. See what happens when you challenge Achilles on his home turf, watch us get a makeover from Hermes, and witness Fenyx’s humble first steps onto the gloomy, monster-infested island of Clashing Rocks", Ubisoft wrote.
In addition to an already hefty arsenal of skills and abilities, Feny will find new weapons in order to inflict maximum hurt. We're loving the visuals too - but we'll let you be the judge of that.
Ubisoft decided to offer a demo of Immortals: Fenyx Rising to Google Stadia users, which is already available. You can learn more about it here .
