Monster Hunter: World producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed that Iceborne will be the game's last story expansion. In his latest interview, Tsujimoto said that Iceborne basically completes the World which makes it a perfect conclusion.

Monster Hunter: World's upcoming first story expansion named Iceborne will also be the game's last it's been officially confirmed by Capcom. In a quick-fire interview with Game Informer, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne director Daisuke Ichihara and producer Ryozo Tsujimoto answered a bunch of questions, including the one about expansions after Iceborne.

Tsujimoto said that Iceborne is the last piece of the World puzzle and that's why the studio don't have plans for additional story content. "Iceborne basically completes World, so it will be the last expansion," producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said.

However, Monster Hunter: World will still receive plenty of content in the future updates after the launch of Iceborne expansion. "We're planning a lot of the updates for the future," said Tsujimoto.

Unfortunately, the duo did not mention what exactly can players expect from these updates, but if we had to guess, we would say they plan some crossover events as they did with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Of course, Capcom's decision to make Iceborne the first and the last expansion for Monster Hunter: World isn't necessarily a bad one. Judging by previous interviews and reports, Iceborne will introduce a massive new region as well as a bunch of other stuff like new Master rank, skills, monsters and more. Remember it's about quality, not quantity.

PlayStation 4 players already had a chance to try out the beta while PC players will have to wait a bit longer for the same opportunity. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne arrives to PlayStation 4 on 06 September 2019 while Winter 2019 is set as a target release window for the PC version.
