Riot Games' upcoming first-person tactical shooter - Valorant is having its closed beta in April. The developers have partnered up with Twitch to select players who will ultimately gain access to the game on 7 April 2020.
Riot Games just announced a bunch of details for Valorant's closed beta. The closed beta for the upcoming first-person shooter is confirmed for 7 April 2020 and it will be available in Canada, Europe, Russia, Turkey and the United States.
The game's developers pointed out that there is a possibility of a later roll out to more regions, pending developments with the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Riot Games is partnering up with Twitch for the occasion and this is what players from the aforementioned regions can do to try and secure their place in Valorant's upcoming closed beta:
- Register for a Riot account. (Right through here .)
- Link your Riot account to a Twitch account. (You can make a fresh Twitch account by clicking here .)
- When the closed beta activates in your region (EU and NA for now), watch specific Valorant streams highlighted on Twitch for the opportunity to be entitled to Closed Beta access.
It's worth knowing that the number of players Riot Games lets into the beta will be based on the current server capacity. Still, everyone is encouraged to register and cross their fingers. Player count will ramp up based on timelines for when more regional servers can be activated.
The closed beta progress will not carry over into the fully launched version of Valorant.
As for how long this Closed Beta will last, the devs want to keep it as short as they can while getting additional regions online. However, a lot of unexpected feedback during the beta could make them reevaluate.
