That's it. We finally know who will play the lead roles from the Naughty Dog’s critically-acclaimed 'The Last of Us'. The demanding roles of Joel and Ellie will be portrayed by the duo from another HBO production - Game of Thrones.

One of the most special connections in video games is the one between Joel and Ellie. We will soon be able to watch it in the form of a TV series, produced by HBO.

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey who were once part of a great TV fantasy show based on the planetarily popular novels by Goerge R.R. Martin, will now have a job to screen video game roles.

Pedro Pascal is a well-known face and he'll jump into Joel's shoes after another main role in the awesome Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian, in which he played the role of Mandalorian.

You probably know Bella Ramsey best for her role as Lyanne Mormont from the Game of Thrones series, in which she won a lot of sympathy from viewers. The young lord of House Mormont served as a key ally to the Starks in their quest to retake Winterfell from House Bolton.

Fans of the PlayStation exclusive are quite vocal on the internet and are partly unhappy because HBO haven't hired someone who looks more like Joel’s character from the game. (*cough* Hugh Jackman *cough*)

A similar backlash was encountered by Marvel when the fans of the series saw that the characters of the superheroes in the Marvel's Avengers game would not look like those in popular movies.

Pedro Pascal is a great actor, and the writer and creative director of the game, Neil Druckmann will work alongside the creator of acclaimed mini-series Chernobyl, Craig Mazin, so it's safe to say that our beloved game is in the good hands.

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us part II is one of the best-rated games of the last generation and picked up the most GOTY awards ever, although it was also accompanied by great controversy, due to the development of the story in it.
