Video games industry veteran Joseph Staten is embarking on a new journey with Netflix Games, where he'll be working on a brand new AAA multiplatform game.
Shortly after announcing his departure from Microsoft , Halo Infinite Head of Creative of Halo Infinite Joseph Staten has revealed via his Twitter account that his next role job will be at Netflix Games , where he'll be working on a brand new AAA game.
Staten didn't share many details but we know the game will be multiplatform, coming to PC , PlayStation and Xbox .
"I'm thrilled to announce that I've joined Netflix Games as Creative Director for a brand-new AAA multiplatform game and original IP. Let's go!" Staten tweeted.
Netflix previously talked about their vision to build world-class games and it seems like this is another step towards that goal. Given Staten's experience in first-person and third-person shooter games, we're willing to bet this new unannounced AAA game is indeed a shooter.
With Staten at the helm, we don't have any doubts that Netflix Games can produce something special but let's wait for the official announcement, trailers and gameplay before starting the hype train.
During his long career, Joseph Staten worked as a Creative Director on several Microsoft games including Age of Empires , ReCore, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and State of Decay 2 to name a few.
His experience in the industry will certainly come in handy to Netflix who are entering AAA game development space big time.
