Halo Infinite multiplayer could be free-to-play and support up to 120 FPS on Xbox Series X. Apparently, it has a battle pass system and new customisation options.
Halo Infinite, Xbox's biggest upcoming game could offer multiplayer completely free of charge to Xbox players.
This, stunning new info comes from a website Smythstoys , who posted an early Xbox Series X page with details about the console and games that will be available on launch.
One of these games is, of course, Halo Infinite. In a promo text Smythstoys claim that Halo Infinite will offer "groundbreaking free-to-play multiplayer experience".
The text has been quickly removed but a well-known Xbox insider Klobrille has shared a screenshot of it and also confirmed the deleted info. It looks like Halo Infinite will indeed feature a free-to-play multiplayer.
Klobrille tweeted that Halo Infinite Arena aims for 120 FPS on Xbox Series X, the game will also have a Battle Pass system and a ton of customisation options, which will be completely new for the popular franchise. Here's the insider's tweet:
- Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free-to-play
- Arena aims for 120 FPS on Xbox Series X
- Battle Pass system
- Customization options completely new to Halo
As always with rumours and leaks, take this with a grain of salt but know that Klobrille is a reliable and respected insider so it would not surprise us if the details are spot on, which would be incredibly exciting news for all Xbox players.
Halo Infinite is planned as a launch title for Xbox Series X. It will be available on Xbox One too.
