GTA Online missions and heists can sometimes get an unexpected difficulty spike - not because someone disconnected or enemies suddenly became harder but because people ran out of amour plates.
This is perhaps most felt in Doomsday Heist Act 3 finale when repeating one of the more difficult sections and now the team suddenly can't reapply their armour, effectively leaving them smaller health bars in an already difficult situation.
Rockstar Games will change this on June 13, 2023, when San Andreas Mercenaries update goes live, as body armour will be restocked upon choosing the quick restart for a mission.
While that is the most significant one, there are other QoL updates we can look forward to:
- CEO and MC boss options are merged in the menu
- Body armour rank requirements are removed
- Option to buy maximum amount of body armour in one click
- Quick restart restocks body armour
- If your body armour is only partially damaged, the wheel option will use lower quality armour to top it off
- Tom Connors and English Dave will not call you while freefalling or parachuting
- Hold to sprint option added in settings
- Name your acid product to get a permanent five per cent sell bonus
- Daily objectives no longer have rank requirements
On top of that, payouts on Collectibles and Events will be increased to give new players a better footing. Gerald's Last Play and Superyacht Life missions get bonus of up to 25 per cent on payouts.
P-996 Lazer and Hydra weapons will be nerfed in freemode and Orbital Cannon can no longer be instantly reset to further reduce griefing.
