Gran Turismo 7 could be the next PlayStation exclusive to release on PC, according to the series creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
It's been a while since Sony started to port their games to PC with titles like Marvel's Spider-Man , God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn already released to positive reception from the PC community.
Obviously, Sony will only look to bring more games to PC and the next in line could be their racing simulation Gran Turismo 7 . The creator of this popular series Kazunori Yamauchi revealed to GTplanet that his development team Polyphony Digital are looking into porting this PlayStation exclusive to PC.
“Yes, I do think so,” Yamauchi replied when asked if the team is considering a PC port.
Yamauchi added that it may take a while before the game arrives on PC, though, since Gran Turismo 7 is optimised for PlayStation and will need some additional optimisation for PC.
“Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There are not many platforms which could run the game in 4K/60p natively, so one way we make that possible is to narrow down the platform. It’s not a very easy subject, but of course, we are looking into it and considering it.”
Interestingly, Gran Turismo 7 was not part of the Nvidia database leak, which revealed a whole slate of PlayStation exclusives coming to PC. The list included God of War, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, all of which were released on PC recently but also other titles like Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West and Demon's Souls, which are yet to be announced for PC.
