Ghost Recon: Wildlands Special Operation 2 is coming on 24 July 2018 along with the Rainbow Six Siege crossover. Ubisoft have released a trailer that explains what Rainbow Six operatives are doing in Bolivia and shows new items in the game.
Story of Special Operation 2 will apparently revolve around Caveira who has landed in Bolivia at some point and straight up started doing what she does best - interrogating while being spooky. The narrative starts as Valkyrie asks Ghosts to assist another Rainbow operative, Twitch, in search for Caveira who may have gone slightly AWOL in order to murder and terrify members of cartel that apparently didn't fear death up until this point.
Completing the mission which is Ghost Recon: Wildlands' equivalent of Where's Waldo will award players with Caveira Gloves that will let them perform her unique CQC takedown when worn. This ability will mimic her interrogation in Rainbow Six Siege, since it will reveal positions of all nearby enemies.
In order to actually play the operation, players will first need to download a chunky update which is 6GB on Steam or 18GB on UPlay and up to 18GB on consoles, depending on the current version of the game.
PvP enthusiasts will have their share of new content as well, since Special Operation 2 will bring two new classes to Ghost War - Surgeon and Toxic. Surgeon will have a gadget similar to that of Doc in Rainbow Six Siege which is a pistol with booster shots that are able to instantly revive allies or heal them when necessary.
Toxic is Ghost Recon's equivalent of Smoke. This one will be able to deploy a drone that drops sulphurous bombs. Smoke released from the bombs will slowly damage all enemies within an area, including allies but it will shine when flushing enemies out of cover.
This update added a ton of cosmetics, new weapons and two new maps as well as balance changes to existing Ghost War classes. You can find the full patch notes on Ubisoft's official website .
