Ubisoft Forward revealed that we are on the doorstep of Ghost Recon Breakpoint's AI teammate system along with the new global event, Resistance.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint's promotional material leading up to release intensely featured three operatives besides Nomad - Fury, Fixit and Vasiliy. This led the fans of the series to believe that the trio will accompany Nomad in Auroa in case there were no co-op buddies around. GRB then launched and everyone was stunned that if you played solo, you really had no one to watch your back as AI teammates were nowhere to be found.

Since the release, AI teammates were the most requested feature in Breakpoint along with a mode that would focus more on realism and ditch tiered weapons. Ubisoft announced that both would come to the game eventually but no release dates were provided, until Ubisoft Forward on July 12, 2020.

AI teammates will release with the next Title Update, on July 15, 2020. They will inherit many systems that were available in Ghost Recon Wildlands, such as the players' ability to completely customise their looks and loadouts as well as the sync shot mechanic.

In the case of the latter, the triple shot drone will still be available, making it possible to take down up to seven enemies at once.

Additionally, the teammates will look to clear the hostiles in the area in case Nomad gets downed, before attempting to revive the player. On the other hand, they won't be able to carry the player around but players can still carry downed AI teammates.

That is not all the GRB news, however, as the Resistance global event will kick off on July 16, 2020, where players will find the resistance movement that is opposing the hostile soldiers. Nomad and Ghosts will be able to assist them, as seen in the trailer below.
