Sucker Punch published a job listing looking for a Design Narrative Writer. The listing has piqued the fans' attention and curiosity with a very interesting addition to the "Pluses" portion.
Sucker Punch, the developer studio behind the gorgeous Ghost of Tsushima, is looking for a Narrative Writer to join their writing team and accompany them in creating engaging narrative content for their upcoming projects.
The recently published job listing goes on to detail the new hire's daily tasks such as writing dialogue and text, developing open-world stories, and crafting narrative content in collaboration with other designers.
Sucker Punch's ideal candidate will have previous success as a game writer, outstanding dialogue skills, and an excellent understanding of how to tell impactful, character-driven stories within a AAA open-world game.
The Responsibilities and Requirements sections are a pretty standard affair but one line in the "Pluses" part of the listing is making the fans of Ghost of Tsushima think that a sequel is coming.
Pluses
- 2+ years’ experience as a game writer.
- Shipped AAA open-world games.
- Knowledge of feudal Japanese history.
The fact that Sucker Punch is bolstering their writing staff could mean that they are gearing up to enter the pre-production phase on a new game we'll call Ghost of Tsushima 2 for now.
The listing could also mean that the devs are working on a DLC that won't come out for a long while. The lack of an official announcement leaves much room for speculation which is currently going down on Reddit .
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is the original game's first major update that went live on October 16. The patch brought a brand new, online cooperative multiplayer experience, new missions, classes and a New Game+ option.
