GWENT card kegs and the enhanced original Witcher are on sale for the low price of zero, at the time of writing. There is no word yet on how long the promotional event will last, but a free game is a free game, especially if you hurry.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and a GWENT card keg are up for grabs, freebie style, over on Good Old Games. CD Projekt Red are celebrating their 10th anniversary. So they probably figured that they should spread some free stuff around and remind players of their card game while they're at it.

GWENT is CD Projekt Red's take on the trading card genre, which was first playable in The Witcher 3. A lot of players were pleasantly surprised by how well the mini-game was made, and the developers must have caught some of that on Reddit or the official forums. Recent developer blog posts revealed that the trading card game is being altered to better fit the original vision in the next six months. This will be closely followed by a full release.

Witcher: Enhanced Edition is the final edition of the first instalment in the Witcher video game universe. GWENT is a trading card game set in the same universe. The game has players take on the role of Geralt, the White Wolf, whose profession involves a lot of monster-hunting and killing. Magic and plenty of cursing is also an essential part of the series' lore.

CD Projekt Red is possibly putting the spotlight on GWENT a bit more in an effort to keep their playerbase on the edge of their seats until they can reveal more about Cyberpunk 2077. Even after at least six years of development we still know little to nothing about their next RPG title.

It is unknown how long this offer will last for, but if the average time of giveaways and promotional offers is anything to go by, we might be looking at anything from a week to a month. That is of course, provided that CDPR doesn't just decide to keep it running indefinitely. You can grab both games for free on GOG.com .
