A recent leak from a credible Genshin Impact leaker revealed a video featuring the fan-favourite Ayaka Kamisato. She is expected to join the character roster.
One of the most popular characters in Teyvat is for sure Ayaja Kamisato who was part of the game during its beta phase. Ayaka is the princess of the renowned House Kamisato of Inazuma. She is known for her elegance and nobility. Ayaka is a five-star Cryo element user and her weapon of choice is a sword.
A recent leak on the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord channel apparently revealed the two character banners we could see in update 1.7. This update might also be referred to as update 2.0. Apparently, the release date of the banner is July 21, and a character called Yoimiya is supposed to be the first character on the banner and Ayaka will come around three weeks later. This means that we could expect Ayaka to arrive around August 11.
Today a credible Genshin Impact leaker called abc64 posted a video on Twitter featuring Ayaka's new animations.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has unexpectedly teased three new characters: Ayaka, Sayu and Yoimiya. Sayu's element is Anemo and her weapon type is the claymore. She will be the first Anemo claymore user in the game and she could join Sucrose as the second four-star Anemo character. Yoimiya is a Pyro bow character, similar to Amber.

When it comes to the day of release, there were no official confirmations. All of the newly announced characters, besides Kazuha, will most likely not make it into the 1.6 update. 1.7 should be arriving around June 20, at least according to miHoYo's update schedule.
