Coalition have detailed the upcoming Gears 5 content drop in their latest blog post. Players can look forward to Horde Frenzy mode and full week of Free Boost, starting today.
Gears 5 is gearing up for another content update this week. In the latest blog post, the developer Coalition have traditionally revealed what exactly players can expect from the new batch of content, which goes live today.
Horde Frenzy
The new additions will be released from today, 10 March through 17 March 2020. Horde Frenzy is the biggest arrival. It is a 12 -wave Horde experience that condenses the Horde experience, which you already know, into a smaller format - lasting on average of around 30 minutes.
The new mode will be available on three maps - Exhibit, Forge and District - as a permanent playlist, starting today at 1:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM CET.
Free Boost Week
To celebrate the release of Horde Frenzy, Coalition are enabling a full week of free boost, starting today. As you may know, boosts give you double Multiplayer experience, double character experience and double Supply gain rates for as long as you have it.
On top of this, Horde Character XP is also doubled from today at 1:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM CET. That's 4x standard Character XP rates in Horde and Horde Frenzy.
St. Patrick's Day event
A new seasonal event with the random Arms Race mayhem named Luck of the Draw and a new weapon skin set named Shamrock Loadout is coming. You can earn the Shamrock Loadout weapon skin by picking up 50 kills in any online mode in Versus, Horde or Escape.
Both Luck of the Draw and the Shamrock Loadout will be available from today, 10 March until Tuesday, 24 March 2020.
