Four Syphon Filter games rated in Korea for PS4 and PS5

Syphon Filter 1, 2, Dark Mirror, and Logan’s Shadow could be part of the new PlayStation Plus lineup hence the new ratings. 

Korean rating board have officially rated four Syphon Filter games including Syphon Filter 1, 2, Dark Mirror, and Logan's Shadow. The other two - Syphon Filter 3 and Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain - were not included in the latest ratings. 

If you're thinking that Bend Studio and Sony are working on some sort of remasters, we're sorry to burst your bubble, these ratings are probably for the re-release on the upcoming PlayStation Plus Premium tier, which will offer players a huge catalogue of classic titles from PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and handheld PSP consoles. 

New PlayStation Plus tiers should be launching sometime in June, Sony revealed a couple of weeks ago.

Syphon Filter is one of the dormant PlayStation franchises, originally developed by Bend Studio, the creators of Days Gone. 

Interestingly, Sony were pitching a Syphon Filter reboot to Bend Studio as their next title but Days Gone director Jeff Ross declined, saying he didn't have any ideas on how to reboot the series.

Bend Studio had more interest in making Days Gone 2 but then it was Sony who said that was not a viable option due to mixed critical reception and lengthy development of the first game.
