PC players can now experience Fortnite in a whole new light. Those using supported NVIDIA GPU cards and DirectX12 can enable ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS.
Ray-tracing and its advanced rendering capabilities allow for new visual and lighting effects previously not possible in Fortnite. The latest update has brought improved ambient occlusion, shadows, reflections, and real-time global illumination.
To show off the new tech, a ray-traced map is available in Creative. Use the Island code - 9189-0518-5408 - to check it out.
In addition to ray-tracing, NVIDIA DLSS will boost performance so you can enjoy everything ray-tracing has to offer at higher frame rates.
Fortnite features the following DLSS options:
- Quality
- Balanced
- Performance
These options control the DLSS rendering resolution, allowing you to choose the right balance between image quality and FPS. Learn more about the enhancements to Fortnite in Nvidia’s blog .
